Important information on procedures for accepting meal payments

Lost and Found
The lost and found will be discarded after May 25.  Any parent who would like to come to the front office and sign in as a visitor is welcome to check for lost items.  We also have a number of prescription glasses that were turned in to the front office.

The RSMS School Council
The RSMS School Council is now accepting nominations for a parent and business representative. This is for a 2 year term beginning in the fall. The Council meets four times per school year at 7:30 a.m. in the front office conference room. If you or someone you know would be interested in serving in either of these positions, please stop by the front office and complete a nomination form.
Ballots will be available in the front office for voting the week of May 21-25.

The results are in for this week’s High 5 Field Trip poll, and it was a close one! Congrats are in order for Rising Starr Middle School. Your school received the most votes, and we’ll be paying you a visit next Thursday morning!

MEDICATION DISPOSAL NOTIFICATION

If your student has unused prescription and/or over-the-counter medication(s) in the school clinic, please have the unused medication(s) picked up by the last day of school. All medication(s) not picked up by the last day of school will be disposed of during post-planning. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school clinic. Thank you for your cooperation.

Starr’s Mill Football Camp at Panther Stadium
June 4-7, 2012
9 AM—12 PM

*Camp is for players in Grades 2-8.
*Camp will include: QB play/RB play/lineman skills/linebacker and defensive back skills.
*Proper mechanics and speed enhancing drills will be taught.
*Camp will be instructed by all SMHS Varsity football coaches.
*Participants will be divided into small groups to increase the improvement opportunities.
*What to bring: Cleats, sneakers and water.

$80/player (if registered by June 1)
$90/player (walk-up rate)

Cell Phone, Ink Cartridges, Ink Toners OH MY!!!
Talk about a win-win, what could get better than keeping broken cell phones and empty ink cartridges out of the landfills AND helping the computer club make some easy money? If you'd like to help with either your home electronic waste or maybe your business, please bring them into the front office in a plastic bag as often as possible. 100% of the proceeds will go to buying additional art supplies for Mr. Todd's art class. If you have any questions, Please email either Mr. Todd
UPDATE: The list of items has been increased to include Laptops, Digital Cameras, GPS Devices, PDAs, DVD in orginal case, and Video Games & Consoles.
