RSMS Talent Show
RSMS talent show auditions are Monday, January 30th and Tuesday, January 31st. Students need to be in the chorus hall a minimum of 15 minutes before your audition time. If music needs to be played during your talent, students MUST bring a CD with their name and song title labeled on the CD for Mrs. Todd to keep.

Pancake Breakfast
The Kiwanis Club (sponsor of the RSMS Builders Club) is hosting their annual Pancake Breakfast - January 28, 7:00 am-1:00 pm at McIntosh High School ($6.00 per person - all you can eat). Tickets are available for sale in the RSMS office. Funds raised by this breakfast are used for programs within the county.

Applicants who have already submitted their form and fee may sign up for an audition time on the audition form located next to the chorus room door. Audition spaces are limited so get your form in today!

Yearbook Sales
Yearbooks are now available to be ordered through the rsms.org website and the deadline is January 30. There is a link on the left side of the homepage that will take you to the Herff Jones ordering site. Orders are taken directly through Herff Jones and not at the school. Please be sure to print a copy of your receipt for future reference. Yearbooks are sold by pre-order only.Parent Track Meeting on Monday, February 6 in the Media Center at 6 PM.

Cell Phone, Ink Cartridges, Ink Toners OH MY!!!
Talk about a win-win, what could get better than keeping broken cell phones and empty ink cartridges out of the landfills AND helping the computer club make some easy money? If you'd like to help with either your home electronic waste or maybe your business, please bring them into the front office in a plastic bag as often as possible. 100% of the proceeds will go to buying additional art supplies for Mr. Todd's art class. RSMS VARIETY TALENT SHOW AUDITIONS

The chorus program is looking for students with a special talent to perform at the 2012 talent & variety show. We would love to feature some students with the talents of juggling, acting, and comedy along with our singers, dancers, gymnasts, and musicians. If you have any of these talents, or another talent you would like to share with your friends and family, drop by the chorus room and pick up an application to audition. Auditions are coming up very quickly, so don't wait! Get your application as soon as possible and turn it back in no later than Wedensday, January 25th. The acts and performances will be judged and the winner will have the opportunity to perform at the SMHS talent show!
Deadline for Audition Application to be turned in: Wednesday, January 25th
Auditions: Tuesday, January 31st - 3:40-5:30 p.m.
Show: Tuesday, February 7th - 7:00 p.m.
Audition Fee: $5/Individual & $7/Group

The RSMS media center has recently added a parent resource center.
Books, CD's and DVD's are available on topics such as parenting and communication, stress, teen depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, anger management, and more. Please contact Guidance Department.

Class TShirts
If your 8th grade student has not yet ordered their Class of 2016 t-shirt, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline is approaching quickly and orders will be delivered before Christmas break. All proceeds support the 8th grade end of the year picnic celebration in May. Order forms are attached or are available at www.rsms.org

Scrip News
TCBY Scrip cards are now available in $5 or $10. RSMS gets 10%. Scrip Forms are available at this LINK; just write in TCBY on a regular scrip order. Because TCBY is a local vendor, it is available at any time. Please just contact Susan Johnson at sjhjohnson@gmail.com

SPORTS PHYSICALS

Parents... If your child is planning on participating in any sport this school year (2011-2012), please make sure your child has a CURRENT sports physical on file. We have to have one completed and on file BEFORE your child can even try out. If you think your child already has one, you can verify that information by emailing Mrs. Flanders at flanders.milinda@fcboe.org
